Understanding Statuses

When working with certain applications, you may come across different statuses that indicate the state of an item. These statuses can be helpful in understanding what is happening with your item and what actions you can take. Below is an image that indicates the meaning of each status.

Understanding Packet Statuses

When working with packets, it's important to understand the different statuses that they can have. This will help you keep track of where each packet is in the process and what actions may be needed. In this article, we will take a closer look at the 6 different statuses that a packet can have and what they mean.

Not Started

The Not Started status indicates that the packet has been added to the Resident, but no further action has been taken. This status will remain until the packet has been prepared and sent for signature.

In Progress

The In Progress status indicates that the packet has been prepared by the Community and sent for signature. This means that the Resident has received the packet and is in the process of completing and signing all required items.

Submitted

The Submitted status indicates that the Resident has signed and submitted all items in the packet. This will also trigger an email notification to the Community Assignee, letting them know that the packet is ready for review and approval.

Pending

The Pending status indicates that the packet has been signed by the Resident and is now awaiting approval from the community. This status will remain until the community clicks 'Approve', signifying that everything appears to be in order.

Approved

The Approved status indicates that the packet has been approved by the Community and all required items have been completed. This means that the packet is now considered complete and no further action is needed.

Late

The Late status indicates that the packet is past its due date. This status is typically used for packets that have a specific deadline or expiration date. At this time, there is no way to change the due date of a packet, so it's important to keep track of these deadlines and ensure that packets are completed and submitted on time.
